About April Henegar, ASID
April Henegar, ASID is a registered interior designer with a discerning eye for fine art, known for her intuitive, art-forward approach to interiors. A graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in interior design, April has devoted her entire career—spanning over 30 years—to creating personalized spaces layered with depth, narrative, and meaning.
Her design process begins with a deep understanding of how her clients live—their values, rhythms, and the rituals that define home. She crafts serene, collected retreats—places to return to, recharge, and reconnect. Whether integrating a cherished piece of art, selecting custom furnishings, or orchestrating the interplay of light and texture, April ensures every detail contributes to a layered, livable, refined, and welcoming space that tells the client’s unique story.
With a background as a fine artist and deep ties to the creative community, April offers clients access to distinctive artworks and emerging talent, curating meaningful collections that reflect each client's personal story. In doing so, her clients become quiet patrons of culture—helping sustain artists, elevate local voices, and shape the city's creative future.
April is also known for her expertise in construction-driven design—particularly in remodeling and renovations that require smart space planning and thoughtful transitions for changing seasons of life.
